Job Responsibilities :
Abide by safe operating procedures within operating range
Act as first responder to emergencies
Suggest safety improvements
Safe handling of hazardous materials and plant wastes Contribute to housekeeping
Support contract workmen on safe working
Monitor and control field equipment as per SOPs, SOCs, LLF checklist, and ODR instruments
Coordinate closely with shift superintendent/panel executive
Collect and deliver samples from the field for laboratory testing
Report promptly any abnormal observations to shift engineer /panel executive
Handover/takeover of equipment from maintenance
Perform condition monitoring using portable instruments (ODR)
Perform minor troubleshooting
Perform minor maintenance
To contribute towards reduction of waste /handling of chemicals
To operate equipment efficiently
Identify and suggest opportunities for improvement
Following latest safety guidelines, management guide line like, TQM, EFQM, QCC, 5S etc.
Maintain shift logs for respective area /equipment
Follow instructions received from shift superintendent /engineer /panel officer
Member of Auxiliary Fire Squad
for the position of Field Executive-ETP, RCS
overall in charge / accountable for the shift operations for ETP-STP and ZLD plant
An accountable to monitor and maintain each individual operation in the plant throughout his shift as per the SOP
needs to maintain all the data logs as specified throughout his shift Ensure all the required parameters to be checked/tested and reported
Should be able to identify the abnormality / abnormal signs prior to the whole system got disturbed and troubleshoot it and communicate well, as some of the operations are very critical, and that will take huge recovery time once it got disturbed
perform the Jar tests / treat-ability studies to improve the plant performance maintain the minimum stock of chemicals required in plant operations
Ensure safety for individual and related team/environment while carrying out any routine/non-routine operations, maintenance, or any other activities
Shift in-charge is accountable for identity and immediate report of any equipment / instrument s malfunctioning operation or any abnormal sign/sound observations
Ensure no any leakages of any utilities or wastage of chemicals, if observed - it should be attended on priority
needs to prepare specified reports and highlight the observations to ensure equipment used in monitoring are calibrated on time and records are maintained.
Coordinate with the concerned departments/stack holders to satisfy the internal or external customers' update and maintain all the documents and records as per the ISO/IMS certifications requirements Attend and act on the designated PSR roles.
Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills) Thorough knowledge of ETP, STP, and ZLD plant Operations
Thorough awareness of all the statutory requirements and compliances to maintain at all the above-listed plants
Thorough knowledge of Aeration biological treatment / effluent treatment methodologies Thorough MBR technology / Operations Thorough UF-RO Softener operations MEE / Evaporator end to end operation including sludge handling and chemical/solvents recovery Basic knowledge of Lab equipment and testing related to ETP-STP operations Knowledge of chemicals / its handling used in ETP-STP-ZLD operations (MSDS) Knowledge of GPCB/CPCB requirements/norms Awareness for use of PPEs and safe practices Basic knowledge of maintenance related to ETP-STP and ZLD plant Data analysis interpretation ability Basic computer knowledge (i.e. MS Office) Good communication and behavioural skills
Key Attributes (Experience and Qualifications)
Experience of handling shift operations of ETP, STP and ZLD plant
Diploma Chemical / B.Sc. / equivalent with minimum 3-5 years of work experience in handling operations of ETP and MEE plant
M.Sc. or equivalent with minimum 3-5 years of work experience in handling operations of ETP and MEE plant
B.Sc. or Diploma in Chemical Engineering OR ITI / NCTVT
Relevant Experience B.Sc / Diploma holder 2 years OR ITI with min 5 years in Field Operations
Skills Competencies :
Upkeep of Fire and Safety equipment in his area
Field logbook / LLF checklist
Segregation of waste
Maintain equipment health through LLF and report equipment abnormality
