Gujarat Insecticides Ltd (GIL) was set up as a joint area organization in 1980, with an intention to make refined and current specialized evaluation pesticides. The advertisers of the Company were M/s Gujarat Agro Industries Corporation Ltd, Ahmedabad, a Government of Gujarat Enterprise, and M/s Gharda Chemicals Ltd, Mumbai, an organization occupied with Research and Development and furthermore in assembling of pesticides, intermediates. In August 1996, M/s Gharda Chemicals Ltd bought the whole property of M/s Gujarat Agro Industries Corporation Ltd. Since then Gujarat Insecticides Ltd turned into the auxiliary of M/s Gharda Chemicals Ltd, Mumbai.

GIL has established up new standards by assembling specialized pesticides in the Country with natively created specialized skills. In the past, such pesticides were either imported or created in unfamiliar worldwide areas.

Quality Policy/Processes

In July 2008 the Company has acquired the IMS (Integrated Management Systems) Certification, which covers ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, and OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Audit System).
